EPUB Cover Changer (.site) / Privacy
Privacy
Your EPUB files and your pictures are processed in your browser and are never uploaded.
Last updated: · What changed: Added a Calibre/Sigil comparison, a file-privacy note beside the tool and a not-affiliated statement; site name now EPUB Cover Changer (.site); added an About page.
What stays on your device
When you use epubcoverchanger.site and choose an EPUB or an image, it is read by code running in your browser. The new EPUB is built there too and saved to your computer. Neither file is sent to our servers or to anyone else.
What we count
We record anonymous usage events, for example that a book was loaded, which screen size was chosen, or that a download happened. Events carry no file names, titles, authors or book content. Each event includes a random visitor id kept in your browser, the page, the country and a coarse device type. A rate-limit counter uses a salted hash of your network address, not the address itself.
Email addresses and messages
If you enter an email address at checkout or send us a message, we store it with your message so we can reply. We use it for that purpose only. The contact address is support@epubcoverchanger.site.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) for anonymous usage statistics, such as which pages are visited and which steps of the tool and checkout are used. These events never include file names, titles, authors, book content or email addresses. Sessions our own checks create are marked as internal traffic. The site also works with Cloudflare’s privacy-friendly traffic statistics.
Cookies and storage
We store a random visitor id in your browser’s local storage and a flag in session storage. We do not use advertising cookies. If ads are shown in the future, this page will say so first.
